Hello from the Great White North!

Hello everyone! New to this site, but sadly old to the "weight loss/exercise and then let myself go" cycle. And actually so far in Canada, there is no "great white" as we're into autumn with still somke green grass and yet also changing leaves, so nice, cool weather to start a new regimen.
About me:
I've been worse than I am now, at worst I was almost 100lbs overweight. Lost it all. Got down to 130lbs (according to most charts, this or less is my "ideal" weight), at which point I felt I was hungry all the time and stressed.....and therefore allowed myself to get to 145lbs, a weight which I considered my healthiest and happiest. I could carry that off, having a high muscle density.
Getting older, and with a family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and cancer, I imagine it's only a matter of time before I get one or all. I don't expect weight loss to stop me from getting these things entirely; but it might slow down any progression or make dealing with them easier.
My main issues are: finding time to exercise (I work 50 hours a week, counting commute time), and eating when not hungry (for example, eating while reading, watching tv, on the computer.....)
Issues I had when fit were: compulsive exercising, and controlling hunger.
So now, seeing that horrible 100lb weight gain on the not too distant horizon again, I'm looking to take care of it once and for all.
Good luck to all of you.
