newbie, need help?

hey im new to this today and was looking help.....do I need to eat all my calories and if so what happens if ur protein, sugar or fat are over but u still have calories left to use???
at the minute it says I have 500 something calories to eat today but im over on protein and sugar??

    Don't take it too literally. I try to eat up to about 100 or 200 of my daily goal but sometimes go 100 or 200 over. Unless you have health concerns (kidney/liver problems or diabetes) going over is not a major concern. Most will say protein setting is actually a bit too low

    Think of it this way ....protein & fat are minimums. Some people adjust their macros higher or lower depending upon goals.

    Sugar is not something I track, I'm not diabetic. Besides MFP includes all sugar, I just try to keep my "added" sugar at a minimum.
