I read a fitness article that had a brief statement about dairy products actually promoting calorie burn... does anybody know anything on this?

Before I started calorie counting I was drinking 1-2 glasses of milk per meal. I would love to add it back into my diet :drinker:

I remember Dr. Oz showed a thing on Discovery Health channel, which I just read about - didn't see, about this. He said that fat binds with the calcium, so you, ah, dispose of it. Makes your poop float - or is that TMI? Anyway, here's an article on webmd:

Just to beat anyone to the punch - yes, that one is by the dairy industry, but there is other support out there.

Whether it helps burn calories or not you should add at least some of that back into your diet. Just stick with skim milk, because it's fat free but still contains as much calcium.... calcium is SO important for women.......

Thank you... Both are awesome links. Great articles.

I have been taking calcium supplements but, it's not as good for you as getting it from food/drink.

I think I'm going to try adding a glass of milk to breakfast & dinner... without changing anything else. I'm doing 1200 cal / day & have been at a stalemate lately. We'll see what happens.

    Thanks again!
