Motivating visceral fat loss??

Let me preface this with: I KNOW YOU CAN'T SPOT REDUCE.
I feel I am stuck at the dreaded 'skinny-fat' stage, I have about 3lb left to lose and that's all around my mid section! My ribs are just visible and legs, arms and back fairly toned, but my midsection is a pudgy and undefined mess. I've been lead to believe that visceral fat may be the issue. Is there a way to MOTIVATE your body to burn this fat? I KNOW it is essential at a small degree so I'm not trying to eliminate it.
I've heard completely cutting alcohol is a good start, so guessing my year of solid college drinking caught up with me.. haha

Are you doing any weight training? You may have pudge or it may just be a total lack of muscle. You can lose as much as you like but if there's nothing under the flab it will still look doughy and soft.0

gotta agree here... visceral fat surround organs and what not.... subcutaneous fat is what would be covering your abdominals. Its pretty typical to lose fat there last for both men and women. ya may want to do a slow bulk at 1/8# gain a week for a while. if you arent an athlete its not very likely that you have defined abdominals... the girls who slim down and have nice abs are often the fat girls that did excessive ab work while they were fattening up, thus, when they lost weight, the muscle definition WAS there.0 -
I can see SOME muscle. But it's just not on the same level as the rest of my body if that makes sense? And I do more ab work than any other area! Maybe I am just being impatient. I guess there has to be some stubborn areas of fat storage your body wants to hold onto.
I know I shouldn't expect doing a juice fast or something to help but oh I wish there were answers that simple! haha0
