I lost my dancy class rythym when I started to run :(

In my 20s I took "dancy" areobics classes and I will say I rocked at them - I could do the steps, I added in all the extra moves - I had rythym. As I recently learned - 10 years have passed since that time. I have been really focussing on running - still go to the gym, but my cardio is on machines (other than running). Biking, eliptical, etc. So, I was thinking I would start adding in a "dancy" areobic class once a week to addt some more fun into my workouts and switch it up (and to find a class my tween might like and take her). The first class was an introcutory Zumba class. OMG, I looked like I was doing the funky chicken. It was a sad, sad, thing. Is there any way I can get my exercise groove back - or, should I just abandon that dream and focus on the running.

Bwahahaha! It'll come back! If you like, get a DVD for home at first. Some of the Rio Samba ones are awesome and fun, and you'll get back into the hang of things :D

Remember, too, that students who have been taking the class for a while probably looked like a funky chicken at first, too!
