Hello lovely people. I got one of these fitbit flex things and am confused about the calories burned thing...I have only just got it out of the box and it saying i have burned 1100 and has set me a goal of 2184....why is this?
How do I make it the same as the goal I have on MFP?
Any advice very grateful and sorry if it has already been covered!
Thank you friends.

You set the food plan to mimic the amount of weightloss you want ( the tile labeled Calories, mouse over it and click on the gear ).
Fitbit determines how much calories you burn because of how active you and can make estimations. So it shows the amount of calories it assumes you have burned at this time of day as well.0 -
Thank you Brraanndi. I did have a go at this but MFP said I can eat 1460 cals and still lose 0.5lbs per week, but the Fitbit Flex has only given me 1285 cals to lose 0.5lbs....
Am I right in thinking that this because the Flex is taking into account the fact that I have done very little activity today but MFP can only estimate based on a typical persons sedentary activity (which is what i chose on the option)
i.e. the FitBit flex is more realistic? gulp!!
Thanks again.0 -

From what I understand they use two totally different formulas.
I stick with MFP on that because I've been losing haha and use fitbit as one big motivational tool/fancy pedometer.0 -
Good for you I think I will do that too! Keep going!!!!!0
