So far I am over 85 miles walked on my treadmill since October 1, here are my first two week numbers

    October 1 - 7 : 33.65
    October 8 - 14: 39.53

Going to be a lower week this week but hopefully by about the 21st I should hit 100 miles for the month.

So I didn't walk on Saturday as we went for a 2 hour bike ride instead, and then Sunday I did a bunch of walking to go shopping but since it isn't on my treadmill I don't record it, so my weekend was empty for this challenge. I have done a good number today and will possibly exceed the 100 mile mark by end of day if I do another 30 minute session at my desk. I have extended my target to 125 miles for October, we shall see if I can make it. My wife wanted me to push it to 150 but that is easy for her to say.

HEY EVERY STEP COUNTS! Dont beat yourself up AND Bike Riding is great. I dont log my exercise Bike nor my outside Bike so it's OK....

I usually have around 120 something miles a month. This month I MAY not make it with my Husband Open Heart Surgery on Wednesday BUT i will TRY too get some in each day....

Yea not so much beating myself up, I just set myself a challenge for treadmill steps and miles for the month :). I use a treadmill desk so I walk 2 to 3 hours each day at work so all the miles for my challenge are at that desk and most of them are during the work week. But yes every step and pedal counts toward my targets of reducing. Thanks. And way to go on the 5 miles today.

So my longest single day today, just did 11.33 miles on the treadmill. I think my legs may fall off later, but that is okay. My wife is still pushing me to do 150 miles so I will likely adjust out to that soon.

    10/1 - 10/7 : 33.65
    10/8 - 10/14 : 39.53
    10/15 - 10/21 : 32.75

    Total through 10/21: 105.93

the trick to long walks is to break them into 2 shorter walks. on days where i do 14.6 miles, it's a 7.3 mile walk in the morning and a 7.3 mile walk in the evening. my legs feel fine that way. i also don't use a treadmill. i go out for long walks in my neighborhood, which includes hills. if you use a treadmill, make sure it's set for a small incline or you're getting less benefit than you think (according to what i've been told).

i'm shooting for 200 miles this month. i know i'll get close, just not sure how close.

I work crazy hours so to get in activity I bought a treadmill desk. It doesn't do incline and it is a slow walk speed (2.2 MPH is what I typically use while working) so I am really limited on variability. All the miles I am listing are only treadmill miles, so the 3 miles I did Sunday walking around outside isn't on my list.

That being said, I did 2.5 hours in the morning and 2.25 hours in the afternoon today. My legs feel fine at the moment but we shall see, two days with over 20k steps for the first time in a long while may do me in

FOUR MILES today.............so let me go look up my little 'ticker'
