Hi guys,
So I'm new to MFP but not so new to the whole weight loss thing. Almost 3 months ago I decided that enough was enough and that it was time to really get serious. Before this I had been on and off sort of dieting and logging for close on a year with (not surprisingly) no results.
Over the last three months I have gone from couch potato, barely able to jog 2km at 8kph to someone who is active on a daily basis and about to run my first 10k race (in 11 days, yikes!).
My biggest problem though is that I know I won't be able to keep my motivation going alone. After a while it just becomes easier to have an extra rest day and before I know it I'll be back at square 1. That's why I joined MFP. I'm hoping that some of you wonderful people will add me and keep me in track when I start misbehaving. I'll be happy to do the same to anyone who asks.
This is a really important life change for me. I'm graduating my third degree (9years in varsity) in November and will finally be leaving the student life for a career - the prime period for bad eating and exercise habits to rear their heads. I'm also getting married in almost exactly a year's time and it would mean the world to me if I could walk down that aisle looking fantastic.
Eager to meet you all,
Cheers
