Hoping to Be More Accountable

I've been on MFP before, but have had a very hard time losing weight. I AM a nibbler, however. This time, I am going to track each and every bite BEFORE it ends up in my mouth! It's been about four weeks and my loss is pretty meager at best. I do have Hashimoto's (underactive thyroid) --which I am being treated for and also Celiac Disease (can't have gluten).

I tried Weight Watchers in the past and had a lot of success with it. But since they changed their plan to include most fruits/veggies as "free" foods, I have found the pounds creep back up. I am hoping calorie counting will be a better option. Maybe even lower carb intake. Can anyone tell me how many carbs a person should limit themselves to if they are going that route?

As far as activity, I run, walk/light weights, and do yoga/light weights on alternating days.

Never had a FP before, but think that might be nice

I get what you're saying about accountability. I had a hard time with nibbling too. My solution was to plan my whole day before I ate anything. If I needed to change my plan, I tried really hard to stick to something that was nutritionally similar. I don't do that anymore, but it helped when I started to get back on track. For me, I also see my doctor and a nutritionist about my weight loss so I have professional accountability there too. I tell everyone I have the chance to that I am losing weight so there is accountability there too--I would hate to make a liar out of myself. It's really been working. This may not be an option for you, but I got a gym membership. My husband and I are the penny pinching type--not because we need to, but because we like to have a healthy savings and travel. Paying money for something I don't use would KILL me. So paying for a gym membership keeps me accountable too.

Friend me if you want to. I am pretty active here. It keeps me focused! We can support each other!

Hi, I'm going the low carb/keto route .....have been for over a year now but have added this app because I've stalled (summer and such, you know). I try to stay below 25 carbs. That is the induction phase amount. Good luck!
