So I am at the end of tether with myself. I have got to the point where I barely socialise because I cant bare to look at myself before a night out. I see everything that is wrong with me and would much prefer to focus on what is right for me. I have decided to come here to try and help motivate my toning and weight loss. My friends don't really understand what it is like to battle with your body as most of them are slim/petite.
I would love to speak with people on the same journey as me with the aim to look better and feel better!
Any tips would be greatly appreciate x

You are in the right place. You can meet your fitness goals by following the advice on MFP.

Here is a good place to start: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1069275-links-in-mfp-you-want-to-read-again-and-again

    Good luck!
  • I came here with the same perspective and since starting MFP, I feel like I am so much more hopeful. I think these forums are a big reason why. People are incredibly supportive here and it makes you feel so successful when you complete a whole day within your calorie goals. This is overwhelming, thats how I felt too only a couple weeks ago. Now, it doesnt seem so bad. And now, when I go out and I feel like people are looking at me funny or make a comment, instead of feeling sorry for myself, I am just happy that Im doing something about it. You will get through this. And you can feel free to add me as a friend if you want some support and someone to talk to.

It can be hard when the people you're around don't understand or don't support you in what you're doing, but that's what community here is great for! Feel free to add me!
