I've been on MFP since January and love it. I've been stuck at about the same weight for 2 months (give or take the 2-3 lb fluctuation). I have my activity level as active. I'm starting to wonder if I'm at the right activity since I've been stuck (and have been staying within my calories and usually eating my exercise cals).

Here's my normal day. I teach Kindergarten from 8-3 M-F. I also have a 6 and 3 year old at home so most nights I'm on the go until they go to bed at 8:30/9:00. I also work out any where from 45 min - 2 hrs/day. Sat/Sun are usually longer, but I probably average an hour between elliptical, step mill, running, circuit (3x a week). I don't do any heavy lifting during the day, but I'm on the go most of the day.

What do you think? Am I at the right level? Too high? Too low? The other thing I"m not very good at is drinking my water. I try, but I have to FORCE myself to get 6-8 glasses in a day.

i think that if you include your work out in both your general assessment of activity and then in your exercise log for caloies then you ar double counting that. I don't have kids so no idea if that would count as highly active, having done some uni work in a nursery/creche i imagine so though.

I would change it to "lightly active", and log your exercise. I think "highly active" is a job where you're doing hard, physical labor everyday. (think construction or old-school farming)

Although I don't doubt that all those kids keep you active, probably not quite as active as a lumberjack.

You might also consider wearing a pedometer during a normal day. I do this every once in a while to monitor my activity levels.
