Banks recently posted ( this is an excerpt) this on another topic, and it got me thinking........

Quote : But nutrition is always the biggest factor in fat loss, not only what you eat, but how much. If you're at a healthy weight, eating close to maintenance and keeping a very small deficit is a great way to shred (I.E. become stronger and more lean without gaining lots of muscle mass).

Once I get there, How do I figure what my maintenence calories?
Does MFP figure this with input from me?

Thank you

set your goal as maintenance (0 lbs per week), that will give you approximately your maintenance calories. or you could go here:

    http://www.webmd.com/diet/healthtool-metabolism-calculator

    it'll do the same thing.

As long as you eat the number of calories in which you burn each day or less, you will maintain the same weight. MFP tells you under your profile how many calories it estimates you burn each day. Usually it's around 1800 - 2200 for a woman depending on how much you weigh and your activity level.
