Inconsistencies/Hypocriticisms

So as I've been trying to lose weight I've been learning a lot about myself.

Something new I've learnt is that there are ways in which I'm hypocritical or inconsistent with my opinions/beliefs.

For example:
- I can't bring myself to eat veal (because it was just a baby) but I have no problem with lamb.
- I turn all the lights off (to save electricity) but keep my cell/tablet chargers plugged in.
- I compare my weight to others, to justify if I feel ok about myself or not (not as thin as/at least I'm thinner than) but hate on my soon to be brother in law for body shaming people
- tell other people to "be positive", "Glass half full" and all that jazz but am really a bit cynical myself

I'm sure I'm not the only one... is this something anyone else has noticed? What are some things the rest of you find yourselves doing? What are you doing to try to stop?

I workout and run but I'm still a smoker. However I am working on that now.

I know that my weight loss is stalled due to alcohol consumption. However I don't stop sending texts to my husband (who is working in the basement) when it's 4 p.m. asking if he wants a drink.
