Activity monitors... worth it?

I've been thinking about buying an activity monitor (like a FitBit or Jawbone) but not sure if it's really worth it. I log my activity here pretty well so I'm not sure if another gadget would actually change or improve my weightloss or fitness, but thought I'd see if anyone had any pros/cons to getting one. :-)

When you log everything (cals eaten, cals consumed, cals burned, weight lost, etc), then go back and look at things over time (say, over the course of a month or two), do your expected results line up fairly well with your actual results?
If so, then you don't need one. If not, then it's worth considering, or you can just tweak how you log based on actual vs expected results.0 -
Hello,
I tried two ways: One without the monitor activity and one with it. I have a Fuelband. I love this thing. It always flashes "GOAL" when you reach your set goal of the fuel. When I workout without it, I noticed I was more likely to eat bad foods than when I had it on. When having it on I was more active and more strict on what I ate. However this is just my intake on it. Everyone experience their own monitors in their own way. So is it worth it? Yes, to me it is.
If you have a iPhone or ipod, you can download one with a few dollars worth or a free one. I hope I've helped.0
