high intensity or low intensity workout first?

i'm doing the 30 day shred this month, and i am loving it, but it's not leaving me feeling like i've really pushed myself to exercise like i usually do at the gym (at least yet), so i'm thinking of supplementing it with a short, high-intensity workout (like cardio kickboxing or something).
i guess i'm going to come to my own preference by trial-and-error, but which would you guys recommend doing first?
1) low intensity as a warm-up?
or, 2) high-intensity (so my muscles are fresh, to guarantee correct form etc) then the low-intensity as a cool down?
i think i'm going to do the first option today, and see how it treats me, just looking for some other thoughts on the matter
thanks for any tips/advice/warnings ~
