Half Marathon in 44 days haveta drop 2.5kg for weigh in!

Last year in November I did the Kerikeri Half Marathon. (Bay of Islands, NZ)
I entered in the weight division as 60-65.1kg but when I weighed in I was 66kg! so had to run in the 65.1-70.1kg category instead, I wasn't happy but discovered at prize giving that I came first in that division which is great but my Trophy now has 65.1-70kg on it
!
I am determined to be well under 65 this year and get myself a nicer looking Trophy!
My time last year was 1:55:34 so I plan on getting 1:50:00 whilst weighing 62kg or less!
I am currently sitting at 64.5KG so I have 44 days to loose a minimum of 2.5kg (we weigh in with clothes and shoes!)
I believe it is do-able but I need as much support as possible! I train all the time with running, swimming and biking so I eat much more than most and it is hard to get the right balance. I have to eat enough to keep the energy levels high so it makes it hard to restrict calories as if I don't eat enough I end up chewing through my muscle mass instead of burning fat! It is a VERY thin line and I simply can't afford to cross it!
High Protein, Low fat and only the necessary amount of carbs! I know I can do this!
Please add me as a friend with a few words if you think you can help me stay on 'track'
(excuse the pun)

Honestly, I don't think it's worth the pain to try and lose weight whilst training for a half....
But, in case you are interested in nutrition ratios and strategies etc, I found the book "the new rules of marathon and half marathon nutrition" a good read. One good point he makes is to reduce calories a bit during your taper, so you don't gain extra weight because you reduced your running.0 -
I know it seems a bit silly trying to drop weight for it but I am only 5ft4 so 64.5kg is actually too heavy for me anyway so it wont hurt at all to aim for that category and save my joints a bit of unnecessary strain!:)
I will look into the book thanks for the tipIs very hard to taper as I have a 1/4 marathon two weeks before and a 60k MTB the week before (plus a triathlon the week after) and hockey on wednesdays ahhh, ...Perhaps I have bitten off a little more than i can chew!!
