Something I don't understand (Saturated Fat)

So the bad kind of fat, the heart attack, bad cholesterol raising, clogged arteries one is Saturated Fat. Why does your daily maximum allowance of Saturated Fat raise when you eat more calories? Is 20 grams of Saturated Fat more artery clogging on a 1300 calories diet than on a 2000 calories diet?

I'm having hard time to understand why things work in % when it comes to bad stuff.

Does sound strange but I guess everything works to a certain ratio? I guess the saturated fat you'd be permitted on maintenance calories is your true safe amount?

The first problem is saturated fat doesn't clog arteries, or raise bad cholesterol, no fat does that with the exception of trans fats, which have shown deleterious effects on our overall health. Calories from fat will always work in tandem with total calories consumed...........

It works in percent because calories are a convenient measurement to use to see if you're getting proper nutrition assuming you eat a balanced diet.

Your body doesn't work in calories, it works in sugars, amino acids, and lipids (and alcohol). So if you have a higher daily caloric need, it's because you need more of those nutrients... not the other way around. When you are eating a calorie deficit, you are short changing your body one or more of the above nutrients to make it compensate with lipolysis.
