Hello everyone

Well, its been some time since i used this app at the gym, but regardless this is my story.

I was (about a year ago) in very good shape... gym 4-5 times a week, 4-6 miles running/ day..boot camps...ect. I adapted well to a fairly drastic vegetable, fruit & fish diet change which is almost unheard of for someone my age (25) with the people i hang around with (lots of beer, pizza and bad decisions) Essentially by the time i was coming off of my plateau of weight loss nearing my goal of 190/200 lbs i got in a motorcycle wreck.... go figure. The limping around made me lose motivation over the past few months... but i'm better now... so is the bike lol..

Im not up to speed on how all of this myfitnesspal works... but i started back up on my almost alien routine of eating healthy and exercise.

I have a very adaptable mindset and i can basically go vegetarian overnight without any problems.

I am fairly confident that i can reach my goal in 3-4 months.

Current weigh in was 238 - goal weight 190/200 I am a fairly bigger guy at around 6'-3" tall

I've lost weight for weight loss competitions in the past... but this time i'm doing it for myself with my personal health being the primary incentive.

My diet will be based on what has worked well for me in the past:
Breakfast - oats & fruit/ Eggs, fruit & toast
Lunch - Spinach salad
Dinner - Spinach salad, black/brown rice, black beans - on occasion tilapia or salmon.
Snacks - Almonds & Goji berries

Exercise routine -
I have a fairly detailed routine that i follow to the T that works various muscle groups (i use a neat iphone app called "workout plan". That tracks what workouts you do on what days... makes it much easier for me not to double up. I run or jog for about 45+ mins each day. I will probably increase once i get more acclimated to running again.

My diet seems very sound and i am satisfied/ stuffed after every meal, yet i am still in a fairly high caloric deficit about 1000 calories after exercise... any thoughts??

Thanks again everyone

Hello and welcome back. I'm fairly new here. My calorie count is usually under what it says I'm supposed to have. Also my protein is usually over and the carbs low. Because of the bypass surgery I had many years ago, I do better with a higher protein count. At one time in my life my menu was vegetarian for 2 yrs. At this time I am trying not to have any "whites" such as rice, pasta, bread, etc. I lost 60 lbs last year on the 17 Day Diet. Even though it's called a "diet" I think it's a good plan for everyday. Well I started slacking on eating the healthy stuff and did what was easy,....Not good. And because of some health issues my exercise has really slowed down. But I'm giving it a go again and am optimistic that I will lose the excess weight and inches again. I also ride a motorcycle. Anyway, I'm wishing you every success to meet your goals!
