    Good Morning Pepper's,
    Well no loss this week but expected it because I did not get my walks in on Mon,Tues. and Wed. Weight still 194 (at least no gain) Will have to work really hard this week. I will start loosing again.

    TGIF!

    I worked hard, logged food & exercise, and the scale said 182.2 today! -4.4 lbs. I feel really good right now, and another accomplishment ~~ I completed the C25K program! I am so proud of ME! I think changing up my exercise routine really helped...getting lots more water, like 12+ a day. I am beginning to feel more toned and there is more muscle definition in my arms and legs. Now, just to stick with this and lose some more wt. Things will be changing for me a little when school starts back up the 18th...

    I am gonna start JM shred on Monday...anyone want to join me?

    You are doing so well. Are you going to do the shred everyday? I dont think I can start off doing everyday I can give it a shot. I really want this I will start on Monday getting up at 4:45 and do the shred everyday. I hope this will not kill me. :laugh:

    No really I want to do this with you. I will start on Monday. This should be fun if a bunch of us or just you and me are suffering together. :laugh: :wink:

    Hey Cindy....I will probably do the shred 2-3 times a week, M-W-F this week. Now, today I did Biggest Loser Cardio Max Level 2 & 3....and I could not believe how intense it was. Very similar to the shred, and it was with Jillian and Kim. I burned like 180 cals in 20 minutes. I had planned on doing level 2 alone, for a 20 minute workout, but then I read that level 2 was 10 minutes as was level 3...so I challenged myself, got brave, and combined them! It really got my heart rate up quickly and I was really sweatin'! These are cardio, like the shred, so I think doing these kind of workouts are very beneficial. I still want to keep with my jogging and brisk-walk days too. I would love to share the Shred experience with you...pain, sweat and tears!:bigsmile:

    Hello my Green pepper laddies!!
    Thanks for all the messages on here and Facebook.!! I an home for now. Got home tonight and will be slowly recovering over the next week. I have gotten a very bad staph infection that required suergery :indifferent: I will be having dressing changes twice a day for at least a week then if everything looks good I will go back to surgery and get closed up. I will try to check in time to time. I have very limited movements in my arms. And I don't feel like doing anything for about and hour after the dressing changes. I am going to try hard to just eat healthy during this time. Exercise is totally out for the moment. Hope you all are doing good!!

    Cindy go for the shred I have it and yeah it a killer but u feel good whrn ur done.

    Went to a farmer's market today and a benefit for a 19yr that needs a kidney transplant. I did my strength workouts today...and not many calories were burned. may need to increase the wts I am using OR go longer....

    Cindy ~ great to have you shredding w/ me. you bring it and I will too! :bigsmile: They say the more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn all day long...so, that is what I am working on. I am able to wear more and more of my clothes that I bought last summer. Right now my goal wt is 160, which is still considered over wt, and ideal is 130-145. I would be happy to just be a size 8 or 10. I don't know...will just have to see how things progress here. I just want something I can maintain.

    So, today I uncleaned it...my food that is. I had a walking taco and a few peanut butter cookies AND a frosted chocolate chip cookie bar! WHOA! :noway: Looking forward to my workout tomorrow and burn it up!

    Today will be drinking my water was way under yesterday. My exercise today will be weeding and raking the yard. This weeks goals are

    Goals
    M-w-f shred 20 min workout
    T and T 30 min walk and shrength weights

    will let you know what Im doing for week end we are doing a yard project. will let you know.

    This is a start. I may do the shred on sat. and make sunday a rest day.

    hey SHGP's...hope everyone is doing good. busy week here. visiting my MIL tonite, shopping w/mom and niece Tuesday, Wednesday I have a bus meeting and it's my dad's bday, Thursday might be going to a cookout w/dh relatives. Friday, dh and son get home from Canada ( LAUNDRY !!)

    Cindy, I am wondering how sore I am gonna be after the shred... I have done Biggest Loser Cardio Max Level 2 & 3 two times, and my calf muscles have been sore for 3 days! Just goes to show, changing things up does work different muscles!

    Kelly I am only sore when I sit still (I work at a desk all day):laugh: I have to say I feel it everywhere but its not as bad as I thought but will let you know tomorrow. I may do it tomorrow too, we shall see how I wake up.

    Well, the Shred didn't go as easy as I thought it would....for one, I did it after a 45 min intense, walk/jog... and then used 8lb hand wts, which was too much, cuz I have been using those in my other workouts. Now, I have to say, that since I have been doing quite a variety of workouts, aerobic and strength.....I like all my other ones better than the Shred ( and I have done the Shred in the past...but not longer than 5 or 6 workouts)....and it is only day 1. But, I am gonna keep with it and just hope that my feelings about it will change. Looking ahead now, Wednesday looks like a killer of a workout....I'll take it as a challenge. I know I can do this....just have to believe it!

    hey ladies.... sorry not posting as often. Worked the weekend and had kid issues. One day at a time... one day at a time... one day at a time.


    Today, feel successful ---- did 30 minutes of curves, a 30 minute power walk and 30 minutes of wii fit.

    Going to try for 30 minute wii and 30 minute curves on Tuesday.

    still no word on custody.

    Jacque - glad to hear you're out of the hosptial.
    Kelly - congrats on the weight loss.

    Good Morning Pepper's,
    Well got up this morning to very sore arms and chest, rest of body fine. So decided to stick with the shred M-W-F and will get a great walk in today. It is so muggy. Tomorrow looks like a long day for me as well. I will be doing shred in morning before work. Then off to a meeting in town (have to walk at least 15 mins to get where I need to be, then walk back to my regular place to work which is at least a 40 min walk. looks like I will be doing lots of exercise tomorrow. Since the only exercise I have been doing is walking or yard work the shred is a challenge for me.

    Kelly remember if you decide you dont like to do the shred its ok. We will just stick to what ever exercise works for us. That is the key to challenge each other and stick to what works. I have a lot of medical conditions and working out is really hard for me, you can do more but I know that I am doing what I can.

    Barb praying for you to get good news from the court. Log in when you can.

    Jacque glad you are at home and hope you are resting comfortably. :flowerforyou:

    Hope all of out other Pepper's are doing well.

    hey all...will be shopping today w/ my niece who is 12...first time, so I am excited! my mom elected to stay home, b/c of the heat. she is diabetic, very, very obese, and has been having leg pain recently...then she fell yesterday on her deck:ohwell: I have no idea where my niece and I are going, or how long we are shopping or what we will be eating:tongue: Leaving soon here...

    Cindy, good job with walking and shredding it. I totally agree, finding an exercise we enjoy is gonna keep us interested and consistent. I am working on having MORE workout days then LESS.....and then hopefully that will give me a YEAR with more MONTHS then less! It has been very muggy here as well. Dew points are 75+, humidity 94* and temps in the upper 80's. UGH! I think next week we have a COOL down!

    Barb ~ good to hear from you! You had a great workout yesterday! YAY! one day at a time....very well said! hope all goes well with the kiddos....thinking of you!

    Ok well I am home from Idaho! We did great and it was so much fun! gotta get the pictures on here to show you girls! Hate that we had to eat out but when I think back on it I really didnt make bad decisions and I really didnt eat so much!
    On the way how we stopped at a fruit shop in a warehouse and it had an antique shop as well, it was amazing!!! and so was the fruit.
    Well my hubby is still home, and I am supposed to leave for 2 weeks starting on sunday to take the kids back home for my vacation before school starts for them in september...worried a little and really dont want to leave him because he might now be here when i come back:( Gotta figure things out they are comming at me too fast

    Almost time to get out of work. Was very glad I was able to get a walk in. Tomorrow sore or not doing the shred. I like the exercises and even though I am sore I feel that it is working.

    Missvita, cant wait to see some pictures. Will let you know Friday how the shred is going. Only doing it 3 days for the next two weeks to slowly work up to 5, then 7. I have started doing this 3 times and stopped because I was too sore. But all the posts I have read said after a week or so it gets better so I will stick it out.

    hi everyone...well, shopping went good w/my niece....ate Pizza Hut for lunch AND supper...plus some sweets, messed up there. then today I had my bus meeting. don't know what to do about things......the last 2 years I have lost income...and well, it just really, really bums me...I get so down...I love my job so much, and it is now critical if we can afford me to continue on.....since this am, I feel this funk hovering... Today I started out ok with my food, had a couple brownies at my folks ( dad's bday ) and supper was chips and candy! I am really trying to tell myself that eating these comfort foods will not change anything with my job. In my mind I keep craving salt, chips, sugar, chocolate, crunchy...and on and on. So, I am gonna fill my water bottle and glue my *kitten* to the couch. ALSO, I did not get my entire workout in, so, I will not have met my goals this week. But, as Barb suggests...think of the positives I DID do today....so I will focus on that.

    Well its been a rough week so far. The dressing changes are killing me. All I do is sleep, hurt and eat. So when this is over I really have my work cut out for me. So Update. I go back in on Friday for surgery number 2. They will be closing everything up and be putting drains in. So hopefully will have them no longer than a week. So keep up the good work, and cant wait til I am better and can join in. SO ready to be done with this. Thanks for the prayers and warm wishes:smooched:

    Jacque...I am so glad you checked in...I have been thinking about you. I can't imagine how badly the dressing changes pain you...I have heard they are very, very uncomfortable. I hope you know we pepper's are pulling for you and are with you in spirit. hang in there and keep us updated.     Kelly sorry about the job, stress can bring on all that craving (comfort food), WALK AWAY FROM THE JUNK.

    Well knowing my boss was at a meeting all day today I wont get coverage for a walk on lunch so I did the 30 day shred again today. I dont feel as sore and I am doing the moves much better. I also feel good so I think I will keep doing it everyday. I have a walking buddy on Tuesdays so I will walk too on that day. I may not loose this week but I am building muscle can feel it.

    morning all...been quiet here lately, hope you're doing well....

    will try harder for a better day. food is logged and will be 'water logged' as well... house chores and mowing today. wow, 24 hrs and no rain...but so very hot and muggy. dh and oldest son will return from Canada by this time tomorrow.

    Cindy ~ good to see the shred working for you. it feels great when it gets easier to do! I think all the variety I have keeps me in this. I am not bored with anything, yet. I even look forward to most of them.

    Oh, I read this recently about exercising...and it is SO TRUE! " You will not *find time* to exercise.....you have to *make time* to exercise. " I thought that hit the nail on the head! If you try to find the time, it most likely will not ever happen.

    That is so true Kelly. If I did not do the exercise this morning (planned), I would have not done any today. I thought it would be a killer to get up at 4:45AM but its only 15 mins earlier than normal during the week. I have my coffee and start the shred I made the time. Now if I decide to walk on lunch it is extra. :drinker:

    SO, I am lacking 2 of my exercise goals for the week (53 minutes) but I did do 493 minutes and burned 3,518 cals.

    Gotta hand it to ya Cindy for getting up with the chickens and working out! I am sure that helps keep you burning calories all day long and revs your metabolism!! Good job!!
