Need a Boost

I am stuck. I have tried many suggestions on how to get out of a plateau without success. I am fatigued and defiantly getting discouraged. Is there a supplement to give me a boost or do I just wait it out?

  • wait it out. if it's been less than a month I wouldn't call that a plateau. maybe switch up your workouts or something.

    How long have you been on a plateau?

    If it is 2 months or less, I wouldn't call it a plateau and it is normal.

    If it is longer than that, you might want to change something up.

    I have changed my work outs. The Plateau if it is one has been going on for about 2 months. The major fatigue has been going on about a month. Thanks for any ideas! :smile:

    tell us more exactly what you tried?

    have you tried eating less? when you changed workouts did you amp up the intensity, go longer, do it more often and/or work out first thing in the morning?

    have you tried intermittent fasting? what is your current weight b/c your weight loss rate slows down as you get closer to your goal

    When was the last time you recalculated your stats with your current weight? Maybe try that and see if you get a new calorie goal.

    I have tried everything but intermittent fasting & working out first thing in the morning. I have 4 kids & my husband is an over the road truck driver so I don't have help in the mornings, it is just not an option for me. Can you tell me more about intermittent fasting? I will try it.

    Thanks for the article. I should have my calorie burn correct using my HRM but I don't use a food scale. Perhaps I am miscalculating there. I'll try to invest in one soon.

    Every time I do that it actually gives me a higher calorie goal so I leave it as is.

    Its been about 2 months. I have tried switching workouts but can you change them too often?
  • hey there, these things take time and if youre going for a lifestyle adjustment then 2 months is only a small amount of time. May i ask what your goals are? and what amount of calories mfp is telling you to eat per day?
