This is an article I received by email from a doctor's office this morning. In general I agree but definitely not everyone will or should. Specific sticky points are #5 (disagree) and #6 (completely agree)
Slim For Life
"Losing weight and maintaining it are two totally different animals," says Holly Wyatt, MD, associate director of the Anschultz Health and Wellness Center at the University of Colorado, Denver. Mastering the art of maintenance is the key to making sure your goal weight turns into your normal weight.
6 Secrets
1. You have to move every single day.
2. Maintaining muscle matters.
3. Mediterranean means more burn (think fresh fruit and veggies, whole grains, beans, legumes, nuts and healthy fats in fish and olive oil.)
4. Your scale is a weight loss weapon-use it regularly.
5. Don't skip breakfast!
6. Trying to eat perfectly is a recipe for failure. Okay to have your cake every now and then!

Actually a reminder of how complicated we make health and fitness when it's really quite simple; Get off your butt and LIVE!
