Stay home MOM

Hi everyone!! I have decided to restart this journey in my life. I tried this a couple months back but a few personal things threw me off. So now to get myself back on track and be healthy.
I am a stay home Mom and have been for the last 7 years. I have three children ages 9, 6, and 20 months. I was so lucky with my third pregnancy because I only gained 15 pounds. Then I breastfed which made all my baby weight plus 12 pounds more just fall right off. However, I stopped breastfeeding when my son turned 15 months and all that weight came back within a couple months.
I am a stress eater. And having three kids is not always easy. I am also very short. Being only 4'11" I find it so disturbing that most my weight goes straight to my stomach. And feels like thats the last place the weight falls off. I have people who look at me like Im pregnant and that drives me nuts when I see their eyes wander to my stomach area.

Any tips to get that part of the fat off my body faster or equal too the rest of my body? Do you eat back your exercise calories when your trying to lose weight or is that just to maintain your weight?

  • I understand how you feel being a shortie myself I feel like everything goes straight to my @ss. I also am a stress eater and I'm trying to break a bad habit of feeling horrible and beating myself up because I over eat for the day. Feel free to add me. Good luck on your journey
  • Are you gonna do any workout program?

I am doing Shaun t hip hop abs right now. Only 3 days into it. Definitely feel the burn after I'm done. Just wish losing weight wasn't such a slow process.

I don't usually eat back the calories burned and I try to make sure I am in a deficit each day (or as many days as possible :-) ). I'm big on walking to help shed the lbs but do other things as well such as biking. Most of the time it is a slow process but in due time you do start to see big results! All the best in your endeavor!
I feel your frustration, not because of me but my wife, she is in exactly the same boat, she also is a short stress eater who hates that she gains it all in her mid section! Feel free to add me if you like.

Aww, the best job in the world! :drinker:

It IS a slow process, but make some friends for encouragement and for helping you stick to your goals. I know it helps me to know I am being held somewhat accountable.

  • Mandy you don't gain 2-3 pounds per day so you can't lose 2-3 pounds per day either. Rome wasn't build in a day and neither is your body ! Stay accountable and you will get the body that you want!
