Advice needed

I started exercising regularly, 5-6 days/week, and eating more natural foods. I started the first week of June. I was around 132 lbs. I am 20 and 5'3. I was not overweight, and I was in decent shape, but I wanted to be better and shred some extra body fat and build muscle.

I do 4 days/week of strength training (lifting heavy weights) mixed with 30 min of cardio, and on the others 1-2 days I do 30 min of HIIT training. I eat a high protein diet and really monitor what I eat. When I do slip up, it's like I drink 1% milk instead of unsweetened almond milk and some honeycomb. That's a cheat meal for me and it rarely happens.

I've been at this for 4 months now. All I feel is fatigued, achy, and stressed. I have gone from around 130 lbs to 137. Highest I've been in 6 years. None of my clothes feel looser, not have there been any notable loss in inches.

Do you track your calories consistently and accurately?
  • Yes, rarely if ever do I go above 1500 calories. I am allowed 1800 calories a day to lose about 1 lb a week. I have never been close to that number though.

Unfortunately your diary is locked, so it is difficult to make an informed opinion. However, do you eat back your exercise calories??? With 1800 calories a day and rarely going over 1500, I would question if you are eating enough. If you are not eating back your exercise calories, then this will be compounded and your body will be reluctant to give up fats and you will feel like crap. Also, how accurately are you logging? Are you weighing everything?

If you're not logging consistently and weighing everything in grams on a digital scale, give this a read: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/872212-you-re-probably-eating-more-than-you-think?hl=You're+probably+eating+more+than+you+think
  • I measure everything out. I feel pretty confident I'm not overrating. I eat a lot of fruit, veggies, chicken, turkey, brown rice, cottage cheese, almond milk (unsweetened), natural peanut butter, and the most processed thing I eat is original cheerios and rarely cinnamon life. I eat these dry as a snack. This pretty much sums up my diet.
