What are the relative pluses or minuses of each and especially keen to hear any personal experiences of benefits gained from adding these to the diet. I don't naturally eat a lot of fat so am thinking of adding one of these to my diet.

I use ground flaxseed, I mix it through my oats. Apparently has 800 times more lignans than any other food. Excellent fibre, and Omega 3s.

I also love ground flaxseed-it's cheap, available at my grocery store (I can get a pound of organic seeds for under $5 on sale), and I really like the taste of them. I add them to everything-salads, rice, oatmeal, green smoothies, recipes etc etc.

I too grind my own organic flax seed and mix 2 tbs of it into my cereal. I also use a really GOOD, HIGH QUALITY krill oil soft-gel capsule. If you pay for the good stuff you won't have any fishy taste or "back-up burps". BLAH!
My benefits are lower cholesterol levels, better digestion and healthier skin.
