Cheat Day-ers: Do you struggle to eat right again?!

I let myself have a full on 'cheat day' a couple of days ago, chocolate overload!
And now I'm craving and struggling to stay under my calories. And I was doing so good pre-cheat day and had NO interest in cake, chocolate etc!
Advice?
Does anyone else experience this?!

Just bounce back from it. Also if you are having bad enough cravings then maybe you are depriving yourself from these things and there is no reason to. If I crave chocolate I will buy a skinny ice cream bar and they have so many options for this. There are ice cream sandwiches that start at 100 calories or you can have a piece of dark chocolate. I went to a birthday party last weekend and knew there would be cake. I looked up the calories (300) for a slice and burned those 300 off in the gym that morning. I find that I crave chocolate, peanut butter and banana so I eat a banana almost every day and use some PB2 that is chocolate and peanut butter and that helps me get rid of my craving all for about 160 calories.

haha see generally I eat pretty well and love my fruit and veg... I don't like KFC and what not. But SUPER CHOCOLATEY CAKE and white chocolate and croissants etc.. Those get me going. haha Yeah I guess I have to 'wean' myself out of it but that kind of defeats the purpose of a cheat 'day'!
  • I can't give myself a cheat day. If I do, it starts the old cycle all over again. Now, if I want something special, I make room for it in my daily calorie goals. Wishing you the best.

I'm thinking I'll have to get onto that! But definitely hard to get the nutrition you need if you blow 400cal on a treat. :\ Idk my 1400 cal a day may be way too low in general..

Yeah, I don't do so well with that. I do better with having one little cheat a day where I still stay under. I don't have a set cheat day but if we go out it's okay to splurge. I still log, take note of how much I went over, and move on.

Same kinda goes for rest days. If I have one day to slob around the house, I have a hard time getting back into it so I try to still be active, just not a structured workout.

I haven't had a full cheat DAY. I don't know that I would even say I "cheat". I eat healthy foods and if I eat chocolate I choose dark. I had a chicken bacon burger and then got on the elliptical. Made snickerdoodles this week and just counted the calories into the day, and then visited the elliptical daily. One trick I try to do is to earn it before I eat it. Don't eat the snickerdoodles until after the exercise to earn them.
