So, I guess I'm starting over...yet again. I'm trying not to beat myself up, however, I've gained back quite a bit of the weight I lost since the top of this year.
Anyway, I suppose what I'm trying to get at is this: what is my best course of action to lose the weight with a 3rd shift job at a gas station and junk food all around me? By the time I get off work in the morning, I'm really tired and go to bed. My job is fairly active, I take no breaks or get a chance to sit down. Sugar is my biggest weakness.

I joined this cite 2 years ago and I this summer I was 10lbs heaver than when I joined. I have failed because my relationship with food went beyond nutrition. I've spent this entire year working on getting to know myself better and changing my relationship with anything that goes into my body. I am ready, now, and committed. I had to tackle some fears about weight loss and I have done that. For me, I got rid of the sugar cravings by giving myself 5 servings of fresh or frozen fruit daily. They have completely removed my sweet tooth. Wishing you success on your journey!0

Pack healthy snacks. Throw in some resistance training, even 10-15 minutes a day, before work. Maybe some HIIT. Can you limit junk food, or does one ute lead to a hinge? If you can have one treat and stop, personally, I think it's ok to fit into your calories. If one snack leads to 8, then I'd try to avoid them and make the switch to fruits or yogurt for a sweet treat.0

Eat regular meals and schedule snacks. Also drink lots of water in fact take a drink every time you want just a little something. Basically ensure that you don't get hungry at work.0

First you figure out why you over eat and fix that. Is it boredom, emotional eating, just being mindless of what you're doing? Figure out what the trigger is and replace that with a good habit. If it's being surround by junk then pack yourself healthy snacks and don't get into the garbage. If it's boredom find a hobby to keep busy with. If it's emotional eating, stop and think about whether making yourself fatter is going to make the problem go away. Oprah Winfrey once had a program that really resonated with me. She said when you have that bad feeling that can trigger a food response, think about what exactly it is that is bothering you. Now think of the very worst thing that could possibly happen if your fear comes true. Now think about whether eating is going to make in any better.0

If sugar is your weakness and it's all around you, you are going to need a lot of self control. My first suggestion would be to not let yourself get hungry. If you are hungry and a sugary snack is handy, your will to resist is likely going to be much weaker. Eat a good meal with lots of protein before you start your shift. Bring a snack with you. Go for snacks that feed your sugar craving but also provide protein to keep you full. Sweetened nuts (honey roast peanuts, cocoa or cinnamon roast almonds) or a chocolate protien bar would be good choices. Drink lots of water.0
