I've gone over my sugar intake and I haven't eaten lunch yet! How do I control that? I never realized how much sugar was in orange juice. That'll be the first thing I cut down signifcantly...:frown:

Its okay if it is from natural sources like fruits and veg just watch the added sugars in food.0

Most juices will have added sugars, which is why we (dietitians) only recommend 4 ounces a day if you are going to drink juice. Be sure it is 100% fruit juice as well. Paying attention to food labels will help you to reduce your added sugar intake.
Natural sugars from fruits and vegetables are perfectly healthy and ok to eat.0 -
Sugar is evil.
However. natural sugar is good for you. Juice is pretty much water and sugar. A lot of flavored yogurts are sugar heavy. A lot of foods have hidden added sugar in them. Read the labels. Some food/ fruit is naturally high in sugar. This sugar is ok unless you are diabetic. Even a lot of PB for some reason has added sugar. read labels.0 -

The trick with yogurts it to buy plain yogurt and use a jam or jelly to flavor it. You can also by the light version which has about 1/4 of the sugar that regular yogurt has. I always recommend the adding jam/jelly instead just because its a lot less sugar and gives you a few more options.0 -

If it really bothers you just skip the juice and eat an orange...
I would worry though all that much about it. I blow right through my suggested sugar intake with just one green smootie, with no ill-effects.0 -
I'd definitely skip the juice, which has an incredible amount of sugar (often as much as a Coke) and no real benefits. That will substantially cut down your sugar intake.0

I try to limit my sugar intake to 41gr a day. I have found that it helps a lot with cravings0

I don't track my sugar but out of pure curiosity, I checked. 81g :P
Unless there's a medical reason, I just don't pay attention to it.0
