Hi everyone!

Hello everyone! I just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Jen and I stated using MFP about two weeks ago. About 4 months ago I started eating clean and working out regularly for the first time in my life. All was well until I went down south to visit my parents and also began a month-long fast while I was there. once I returned back home to New York it's like my eating habits went haywire. I started a new job and really have been trying to stay focused but the last month has been so hard. I'm still adjusting to being new at work and to a schedule that's constantly changing. I'm ALWAYS hungry, which is odd because I hadn't felt that at all while eating clean in the beginning. Now I'm tired all the time, hungry all the time and recently discovered that I've gained back more than the weight that I lost when I first started working out. Lost 20 gained back 27. I'm so sad and just really feel like I'm at the end of my rope, so I'm hoping that being on this site and keeping track of calories will help. I've given up on eating clean coz honestly I've just gotten bored of eating the same foods over and over. So here I am, beginning anew at 5,5 and 280 lbs. wish me luck!

Hi, I'm Rachel. I understand how you feel. I eat well 1 week, then fall off the wagon the next. And when I fall, I mean I really fall. This week has been one of the bad eating weeks. I am not going to let it get me down, though. I will keep restarting no matter how many time I waver. You said you began a month long fast while you were there/ What does that mean exactly? You might have whacked out your hormones doing that, and that's why you're so tired and hungry now. Try to go back to eating clean. It might straighten things out for you internally.
Also, there are many many recipes out there that you could try, so that you are not eating the same thing all the time. Allow yourself some "cheating food" in moderation. You can also eat normal foods, just in moderation. You'll enjoy life much more if you add variety, and, most importantly, CUT YOURSELF A BREAK!
You are worthwhile no matter what!
