Big Spiders making my run interesting!

I walk / run early in the morning - starting at 5:30-6;00 so most of my exercise is in the dark. During the late autumn here (I live down south) I started noticing these really big spider webs on the trees near the sidewalk. I ran by one turned and looked to my left and there was a 3 foot diameter web with a big spider as think as my thumb sitting in the middle of it. I shook it off and kept running.

Almost home, I noticed that I would have to duck under some trees as they hadn't been trimmed. I was about to run through full tilt and my "spider sense" told me to freeze. Just two feet in front of my face was a spider as big as a quarter dropping down on a line making a web.

My morning workouts are never boring, but now there is the "creep factor" ha ha ha! :noway:

    eek!

i see those in the early morning hours, usually on the patio or in my garden. I don't have a fear of spiders, even big ones, so i never think much of it......then again I never ran face first into one. I'm sure i would flail around like a maniac and scream at the top of my lungs all the way home.

Been seeing some HUGE Golden Silk Orb Weavers here in GA lately, I actually saw a web as big as me the other day with the spider as big as my iphone face.
