Although reaching my goal weight is not happening quite as fast as I hoped, at 6 months in I am proud of myself. I can fit back into my old jeans, I have completely changed my eating habits and have been living a healthy lifestyle! Life is good! Hopefully my next 6 month picture will be me at my goal weight!!!!
Here is my quick story in a nutshell: I have always been on the heavier side but worn it well. My usual weight for me was about 165lbs. but I always wanted to be thinner. I am a chronic yo-yo dieter. I will go gun ho-*kitten* over tea kettle diet and workout and drop weight, then I will go for months not caring gain it all back just to do it again. Well through the fall of 2011 to winter of 2012 I got lazy. I fell into a depression of lost love, bad relationships, problems at work and other personal issues. I knew I was getting fat cause I had to buy bigger clothes, I felt gross and unattractive. I also refused to weigh myself. So in February this year 2013 after having an older man come up to me and say "holy **** what have you done to yourself ? You're huge!" along with getting noticeable looks of disgust from people who I hadn't seen for a while. I decided to do something. First step to weigh in and see the damage. Now in my head I was thinking around 180lbs., when 207lbs. showed up I jumped off that scale like it was on fire. I got back on, same thing. I obviously thought it was broke, so I changed the batteries and weighed myself in the kitchen, much more level. Same number. I was horrified, how could I have done this to myself!!!!! That day I started dieting lost 5lbs. in March I started MFP along with doing P90X and other Beachbody workouts, drinking Shakeology and seriously getting a handle on eating clean and eating at least 1200 well rounded calories a day, not wanting to go back to my yo-yo days. So these are my results. I realize I could do things that would make me drop weight faster but I am happy about the numbers and more happy that I feel healthy and satisfied. I don't starve myself anymore and I make sure I eat. I also make sure I workout. I plan on continuing my routine for the rest of my life, even at goal weight! Massacre my Muffin Top with a Lifestyle Change!!!!
