I'm Meaghan and I have been using MFP for two weeks now and I have to say am addicted! haha I call my diet of counting calories "Eat less, move more" lol
I am 50lbs over weight and I am trying for my first time to lose my weight. I am a trained receptionist and have had a few big name jobs and I am just tired of people looking at me and thinking I am not qualified because of my body weight. Just because I am big does not mean I am a bad, or an unsociable person. I am very tired of that stereotype. :brokenheart:
I am currently back in school and studying to be a nurse. Like I said in my bio, I didn't just gain a freshman 15, I gained a freshman 22, on top of my already large body... I am ready not to be 200+ lbs.
I have a reduced diet of 1330 calories per day and at first I did find that it's hard but now I am used to it. I work out if I have that second helping at dinner and go over my daily goal
How I learned of MFP was my grandfather just bought himself an iPad and I downloaded this, among others, to start off his iPad. He fell in love with it and lost close to 40 lbs and looks great. I found it on my blackberry and downloaded it too after he had such success. I just didn't like the idea that my grandfather weighed less then me; lol there is just something wrong with that.
I do need the support. I find I have my bad days where I just want to eat the entire bag of sour cream and onion I have stashed in my closet. I am very much a stress and emotional eater. I think the hardest thing to learn about all this is to only eat when your hungry, not if you feel like it.
If you want to help me out please add me as a friend and I will support you right back :flowerforyou: I want so badly to be and feel pretty. I want to fit into attractive clothes, feel like I am attractive, get my self esteem up to where it should be.:blushing:
I am very much looking forward to being pretty and feeling good about myself. Here's to all of us who CAN do it!
Thanks for reading I wish everyone luck!

Your story is very touching .I really hope this works for you. And coo dos to your Grampa as well.
I'd second Via's comments you are a very pretty girl and studying nursing I immange t you to be a very caring person as well.
When my wife saw I was doing this she wanted to try it too and is also really enjoying it. I have to say we're both having success with it.
You know I'm not a diet person and so this approach really appealed to me. Someone at work was try to get weight watcher at work going but It just seemed a little too structured for me and as an introverted personality the whole meeting thing just wasn't appealing. This tool though seems pretty good.
I hope your dreams and desires come through for you best of luck.
