weighing raw meat

I am trying to gain muscle, when I weigh raw meat or chicken breast what do I go by 12.5 oz or just 12 oz of chicken or steak?

Your question doesn't make any sense.

You should enter the weight of the amount that you intend to eat. Or are you asking if you should eat 12.5 oz or 12 oz?

You should log what you actually ate. Make sure you hit your macro targets and calorie target on a consistent basis.

You don't eat it raw, so don't weigh or record it raw.

    Wrong, wrong, wrong

The nutritional content listed on foods unless otherwise stated is for the raw weight.

Most nutrition facts are listed on the package as their uncooked weight, so definitely weigh them raw. You can use decimals when logging, I often log .16 of a serving of foods when I'm cooking for the family.

I don't really understand what you mean..but the data on a nutrition label usually corresponds to one serving of raw meat.

Ration out the amount you plan to eat, and weigh it raw before cooking.

    Log accordingly.

Or you can weigh your meat cooked and used the cooked entries to record it on the app. It's either or.
