I am sure that i am not the only person that lives in Colorado!! haha Is anyone doing the Colfax marathon? I really would like to do that!?

    Hi there, I'm from CO when is it? A full marathon I don't know about that :noway: but maybe a half?

    i am not sure.... i know it is coming up sometime soon i will have to look on 9 news... you can do it with a partner and have then walk 1/2!

    Just signed up for the Cherry Creek Sneak & the Bolder Boulder. I wanna train for the Slacker 1/2 Marathon in August, but don't think I'll ever manage a full marathon.

    DENVER – April 4, 2008. The Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon is looking for bands, musicians, street performers, church choirs and other entertainers to perform and inspire our runners during the race on Sunday, May 18, 2008 beginning at 5:30 am. Entertainers will be placed at water stations along the 26.2 mile marathon course, as well as the half-marathon course.

    The race start and finish line will be located in Denver’s City Park. After the race, runners and their supporters will converge on Marathon Village near the finish line to celebrate with entertainment, refreshments, and awards ceremonies.

    * 5:55 am: Start time for the National Wheelchair Marathon Championships
    * 6:00 am: Start time for the Marathon, Half-Marathon and Relay events
    * 7:00 am – 1:00 pm: Party in Marathon Village as racers cross the finish line.



    WHAT YOU GET

    * A chance to perform for 7,000 runners and fans
    * Publicity on the www.colfaxmarathon.org website
    * A goody bag with a T-shirt and other good stuff
    * Announcements by the race announcers throughout race day
    * Intense satisfaction knowing you’re inspiring very hard-working runners

    The Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon and the Colfax Marathon Partnership, Inc. (CMPI), a private nonprofit organization founded by the cities of Aurora, Denver and Lakewood, has made youth fitness one of its core objectives. Net proceeds from the race go to Colorado Kids, a charity dedicated to preventing obesity and promoting fitness for school aged children.
