hello,

i am new here and thinking about trying CR-500. i saw this post from July 2013 (see below), but couldn't find a follow up of the staff evaluation of the medical literature. so is there any follow up?????

thank you.

Dear Posters,

We are currently reviewing the medical literature on the HCG/500 calorie diet and reserve the right to moderate against discussions of this diet at any time in the future.

Thank you all for your concern. We're definitely looking closely at this issue

I don't know about the staff evaluation, but you would probably have better luck by searching on HGC or HGC diet.

Here's a link from the Mayo Clinic:

The answer is: It's not safe.

    That's HCG not HGC.

Such strict calorie limitations cannot be good for anyone. Why not just change your eating habits and lose weight slowly?

ty for your replies. i couldn't find much info on searching with just CR500, so i came there, and yes i am finding more using "HCG" as a search. i must confess...i went to a gym today to join and i got talked into to buying the product. the calorie count never was discussed. i was just told i wouldn't be hungry and should weigh my food. when i got home started reading the documentation and found "exercise is optional". so i think i will try to return the product on monday.
  • I know alot of people who have had great success with HCG but they are on it for life now. They have to go back to the system regularly when tehy start to eat normal and gain weight.

If you are not makin' muscle while you're losing, you're not going to be able to maintain without the product. I will be honest, I did try it and you WILL be hungry until your body adjusts to the whole lack of food thing, and not exercising is just a bad idea. I lost 12 lbs right off the get go and gained it all back plus.

When I decided to change my eating habits and exercise, the lbs came off, i have definition, and I can eat pretty normally without feeling hungry and drawn out.

MHO - don't do it. Make the lifestyle changes to the bad habits that got you overweight in the first place.

    Good luck :)
