I bought some vitamins at GNC and they gave me a free small bottle of CLA. The guy said they help with weight loss. I havent taken any yet because I am skidish of taking pills for weight loss. Any experiences with CLA?

CLA is a fatty acid supplement ... a medium chain triglyceride called conjugated linoleic acid ... nothing scary ... Google it ... IMO (based on reading) it will help more with body recomposituoning (in combination with a good strength training program) more than out right "fat loss" ...

ETA: Nothing scary, as in something like a stimulant ...

I'm not saying whether CLA is healthy or unhealthy, but no bottle of anything can magically help with weight loss. We lose weight by eating less calories than we burn.

I know some people that take it and am trying it myself. The research hows it helps some, but not overly conclusive yet. It works great on lab animals. Some body builders believe it helps them when bulking to keep from gaining fat while bulking. Some people feel it helps when on caloric deficit with measurements.

A couple of my friends tried it. One no results except for alot of smelly gas. The other one quick after 3 months wasn't sure if it helped.

CLA works (kinda) in rats. But not humans. That is all.
