Well, I have GERD (Gastroesophegal Reflux Disease-sp??) and a pharmacist recomended taking a Super B Complex to help. Well, it totally helped with energy, but I wasn't so sure that it was helping the GERD... That was until I stopped taking it because I am TTC & wasn't sure about the safety. Now (almost a month later) my GERD is terrible. I am almost doubled over in pain right now and I can't even think of anything I have eaten that would bother it this bad!! Plus, I have been super tired lately! I'm going to ask a pharmacist today and hopefully start taking it again!!!!!!!!!

You might want to get some tests done to see if you can find the root cause. Sometimes GERD is caused by a bacteria and a short course of anti-biotics will clear it right up.

I'm back on my Super B Complex and feeling much better!!!! Here is what the nature made (the brand I take) site said about what Super B Complex is.

Super B-Complex supplement is a combination of essential B vitamins: thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, Vitamin B6, folic acid, Vitamin B12, biotin, and pantothenic acid, along with Vitamin C.

Thiamine is primarily involved in energy production in the body, especially in the brain. Riboflavin and Niacin are also involved in the production of energy and help regulate antioxidant mechanisms in the body.

Vitamin B6 is particularly important in the formation of our body proteins and structural compounds.

Folic acid, also known as folate and folacin, is essential in cell division, DNA synthesis, and the manufacturing of brain chemicals, or neurotransmitters, in the body.

Vitamin B12, or cobalamin, is involved in many body processes and works very closely with folic acid.

Biotin is a B vitamin that helps manufacture fats and amino acids (protein) that are utilized by the body. Pantothenic acid is another B vitamin that helps utilize fats and carbohydrates in energy production.

Vitamin C is added to provide antioxidant protection for the water-based tissues of the body, such as the lungs and lens of the eye, and to help stimulate the immune system.

Super B-Complex supplement is recommended to be part of a daily regimen for Women’s Health, Longevity, Stress, Heart Health, Mood/Emotional Well-Being, Energy, Diet/Weight Management, Fitness.

Something they didn't mention is that Biotin helps hair and nail growth. I did notice it with my nails while I was taking it and my nails went to crap when I stopped.

Thanks so much for the reply. So I can add this to my daily multi vitamin?

It shouldn't be a problem. I would take it in the morning though or it might be difficult to settle down and sleep at night. Also, the niacin in it turns your pee bright yellow and that is totally normal and nothing to cause alarm (my dr. warned me about that one).
