I used to do the elliptical for about 60 minutes and it would say I would burn about 600 calories. I would sweat a lot but I would never feel sore or anything, like it was easy to do even with intervals. Lately I have been doing the stair climber and running on the treadmill and I have been feeling sore(good sore) and sweating a lot and feeling like I worked out harder. I was just wondering if it is better that i do things that burn less calories but make me feel like I worked out harder or burning more calories and working out less hard, like the elliptical. Any advice would be great. Thanks :P

I'd suggest you do what you enjoy doing, change it up when you feel like a change, and don't always believe what the machine tells you about your calorie burn. Also, the presence or absence of soreness doesn't necessarily indicate how good a workout was.
I'm not a big fan of ellipticals, personally, but YMMV.0
