So I had decided about three months ago that I needed to start losing weight and getting back into a decent shape seeing as my "fat pants" were getting WAY too tight on me. I have pants that range from size 10-5 and the 15s were screaming. As of right now, I'm in a pair of my 13 and they are LOOSE. I refuse to try the 10/11's on, maybe in another week or so. I am VERY excited though, I feel SO much better and stronger already and still have lots of work to do. The most exciting part is still to come, having to buy new pants because everything I own is way too big
Can't wait for that day, I do love new jeans, and haven't worn skinny pants since my Mom used to dress me in those horrid stretch pants with the elastic around your foot(someone has to know what those are lol). Feeling accomplished and looking forward to a new wardrobe sometime in the not so distant future(with LOTS of bright colors!)
I sound like I like pants a little. What's your favorite piece of clothing that you can't wait to look better in?

Waistcoats! I'd like to look slender in them. I've yet to lose significant inches, though.
Well done for your achievement0 -
That's great that you can fit into some smaller pants now. I know I had several t-shirts that I could no longer fit into properly when I blimped out. I had the spare tire look faintly coming through on many of them due to my belly and love handles. My once decent chest was starting to turn into moobs as well, not a pretty sight.
I've only lost 9 lbs so far, but from all the weight lifting and changing my diet to a very healthy one, my clothes fit entirely different now. Now all of my old t-shirts fit great, they're tighter around my chest, shoulders, arms, and looser around my stomach now and it's awesome!
I'm sure as you continue on you'll get back into the pants you really want to be in and that's more motivating to me personally than some number on a scale. I'd rather put on muscle and lose fat and lose less weight overall than just lose a bunch of weight along with muscle for a lower scale weight. Clothes fitting is a good way of gauging that kind of progress in lieu of regular measurements.
Congrats on the progress, good job!0 -
In Australia those pants (with the elastic around the feet) were called ski pants (no idea why, we certainly weren't going skiing!).
Nice work on getting back into your old jeans, it's always such a great feeling having evidence that you really are shrinking.0 -
Small t-shirts. I still buy mediums (I used to buy XL) and a few of my friends have commented that they look too big and they make me look frumpy. :grumble:
I'm scared to go to a smaller size because the bigger ones cover my tummy more. So, I'd like to be able to fit into really cute tops and t-shirts that are a size small. Sounds silly, but that's my goal. Gotta lose the tummy to make it happen.
Congratulations on your weight loss success so far. It won't be long until you're in your skinny pants again! :happy:0
