I live in the Seattle area. I am retirement age, though not retired. I have 65 pounds to lose. I started tracking lots of different areas of my life and bought a pedometer and started tracking steps and a whole lot more. A long time ago I heard 'anything measured improves'. The pedometer company led me to their online tracking which in turn brought me to MFP. I find that, like any budget, rather than restricting, the exercise and calorie budget on MFP is freedom. The site is so comprehensive in scope that you have a very good idea where you stand on many levels.
I am only a couple of weeks into the journey but have made progress and that is always encouraging. Look forward to meeting other like minded folks.
