Passport photos after big weight loss

The US State Department's website is fairly vague for advising whether to update your passport with a new photo after losing weight. Specifically, it says to apply for a new passport if you have "Undergone a significant amount of weight loss or gain"

My current passport is still valid for a few years and I'd rather not get a new one if I don't need to.

Googling around doesn't help much, so I'm just going to ask here what people's experiences have been with TSA (or their equivalent) after weight loss. Has anyone had any issues with agents due to weight loss changing their facial appearance and if so, how severe were those issues? For example, detained for hours?

By the time of my next travel, I'll have lost about 100 pounds, but I still look fundamentally like I do in the passport. I've been getting double takes when I show my license on domestic flights, but nothing to impede travel.

I would love to see the responses. Although I won't think twice about getting a new one.

oh crap, I hadn't thought of that..... I suppose that is also going to be the same for my drivers license. I better check with the UK passport office and DVLA. GAH, this weight loss thing is getting damn expensive!
