Long Term Weight Loss???...

Hi everyone,
I started out at 222 lbs and have lost 13.5 lbs. My goal weight is 160 - 165 so I'm giving myself till the end of the year to shed the 62 - 57 lbs left. I currently eat 1200 calories but I was wondering...will I continue to shed the weight if I eat the same amount of calories for the remainder of the challenge?? I know it wouldn't be healthy to go any lower than 1200 calories so I'm just wondering what comes next.
Please, I hope someone can give me some good advice. I'm determined to meet my goal!!!!

You should stick with the 1200 calories and if you find the weight loss slowing down increase your exercise and mix up your exercise routine. You can do it, just keep doing it, dont give up. And congrats on your weightloss0

I started out at 228 on April 2nd, I am now down to 182.5....I am also alloted 1200 cal.....but I do usually go over that (due to eating out---and eating what I want) atleast 1- 2 days a week...I do exercise about 4 days a week usually for an hour each time burning an average of 800 calories or so....and I don't usually eat 800 of those calories back...If I'm hungry I eat some of my exercise, if I'm not hungry I don't eat them...I listen to my body.....(FYI I am 5'8")...hope this helps.....good luck and welcome....anything else I can answer since our weights were similar....let me know....0

I started at 248 in October, eating 1200, and lost 2 lbs a week until February. In February, I bumped up my calories to 1400 and started losing 3-4 lbs a week. Then in April (when I got under 200), I started stalling. Since April, I've only lost 15 lbs. I tried going back down to 1200, working out more to create a bigger deficient (burning 1,000 cals at gym, eating 500 of them for a total of 1700 cals a day, and leaving 500 "in the bank" so that I was really eating 1200 net). I even started weight training. Body did NOT want to budge. I only lost 1 lb in June, 0 in July. My body finally decided to cooperate this week.
The point of the story is that you're going to have to work with your body at every turn. Best is to keep it guessing by NOT eating 1200 EVERY day after you've been working at it for a month or two. Just keep plugging along, don't give up, keep faith.0 -
Thank you so much that really helps. I know I need to work out more, but it's still kind of hard for me. I'm not giving up!!!0
