Are the mfp cardiovascular cals burned accurate?

Options
Even though I do a variety of exercises, I only log my cardiovascular work outs. I did some research and found other calculator's results vary wildly. For just doing cardio (walking, jogging, etc,) is the mfp reported burns accurate enough or should I be using another one? Thx.

I log my walking on here and the calories are always under compared to what Runtastic tells me. I just input what my app tells me and then eat back 1/3 to 1/2 of the calories to give myself a cushion of security. I think a heart rate monitor would help you be more accurate for steady cardio exercises like walking and jogging if you wanted to be more precise.

Nope. There's an option to change the caloric burn. It's best to use a heartrate monitor. If you don't have one, though, the MFP estimates don't seem to hurt. I don't eat back my calories, but I still see people losing who do.
