Changing it up!

Thank you in advance to those of you that will take the time to help me out!
I've been on my journey since April. Doing Brazil Body Now, three days a week, and walking 60 minutes on intermittent incline three days a week, with fantastic results for the first three months. Lost 14 pounds and lots of inches. Until 3 months ago. Plateau, big time. I read about changing it up. So I have questions. I'm 17 pounds from my goal. I now weigh 157, 5"6 49 years old. I'm Type 1 diabetic for 40 years and hypothyroid for the past 27. Both in control.
I know that cardio is critical for my heart health. The Brazil work outs are a mix of cardio and strength training. I don't want to go backwards and lose the ground I've gained.
I decided this morning to do some weight lifting to try to change things up. I've read on here that cardio only uses the muscle necessary to get the job done. By doing weights, will I boost weight loss? Isn't cardio how you burn fat? I need to lose some body fat. I eat at my BMR which is 1330, don't eat back exercise calories to boost my deficit.
I don't know the right terminology on everything. Have pity on the old girl, trying her best to be her best!
So, here's my new regimen, sound advice is needed here!.....
Monday, push day. Bench press, lateral raises, push ups
Tuesday: walk 3.5 MPH intermittent incline for 60 minutes
Wednesday: Pull day. butterflies, dead lifts, lateral pulls
Thursday: walk 3.5 MPH intermittent incline for 60 minutes
Friday: Brazil Body now butt work out. works arms, lunges, squats, ( really feel the burn in legs and butt)
Saturday: walk 3.5 MPH intermittent incline for 60 minutes.
Sunday: REST
The reality is, I've have two very large babies. Each weighing almost 11 pounds ( diabetics tend to have large babies) So, the wiggly belly may be something I have to accept. But, recently, my brother in law made great comments to me about how fantastic he thought I looked, and how he was so impressed by the definition in my arms. So.......my goal by Spring, is to not only try to reach my goal weight, but to have killer arms and shoulders!!!! I can hide the belly, but I want to show off the arms and butt!
Thanks all.

you dont need a massive deficit to lose fat... a deficit of 2-500 cals is plenty, yours is probably around 1000 if not more, which will do you more harm than good in the longrun.0
