how are you going to celebrate

As I'm approaching my 50LB milestone it got me wondering how do i celebrate it. I know that in the past i would celebrate all accomplishments with drinks and dinner. And there is nothing wrong with that, but if you go on a diet and then celebrate with something you gave up doesn't that defeat the purpose. I would like some new clothes, but I have goals of losing more weight and that would mean the new clothes i buy wouldn't fit then so i'm hold off on that. I'd like to know of any suggestions you may have and how you celebrated or are planning to celebrate.

I reward myself with things that will encourage me to keep working. New running shoes. New bike tires. More weight plates. etc.0

If I lose 20 lbs by Christmas, I am getting tattoo #3 with my income tax money! Already 5 pounds down, 15 more to go
Best of luck,

Here are some ideas - depending on your preference: a full body massage, new music to add to your playlist, workout gear, long weekend of vacation, other fitness gear to further support your goals (i.e. heart rate monitor, fancy pedometer)...you could buy a few new articles of clothing... second hand even. You deserve to have at least one outfit that fits you perfectly right now. Clothes that fall off don't show off your hard work, nor do they make you feel good. Now....go reward yourself...well deserved!0

now a fourth tattoo wouldn't be a bad idea0

I reward myself with tattoos. The first one I got when I turned 22, the second one I got last year when I lost 20lbs, and the third one I will get when I re-lose the 20lbs I lost last year. LOL.0 -

I do this at every 10 lb lost, buy workout/exercise related items for myself...but then I also periodically reward myself with fashion related items too because I find that more motivating, somehow. I feel like the exercise stuff I "deserve" more.
When I reach my first goal of 200 lb I plan to buy a really nice jacket for myself. For me that means paying full price or at least retail price (I buy 90% of my clothes on clearance or secondhand). All of my fav jackets got too big so now I am making it through with some kinda shabby ones.
Last week I bought myself some skinny jeans (first pair ever) and $7 earrings, which for me is a lot to spend on earrings. Man I am cheap LOL0 -
I celebrate all of my mini-milestones by recalculating my TDEE. I will celebrate my big milestone and goal by recalculating my TDEE and increasing my daily calories to maintenance.
I dont personally feel as though I deserve a reward for doing something I should have been doing in the first place.0 -

it will be a toss up between shoes and a tattoo or maybe a trip to the casino i know what i need is the shoes or maybe just a pat on the back and keep it moving0

I reward myself with travel. I went to Disney World after the 1st 10% of my body weight lost and for my first 50 pounds gone. My reward at goal will be a cruise (already booked) and clothes. Lots and lots of clothes.
I'm proud of myself and will celebrate accordingly!0 -
I plan on getting a tattoo and a bellybutton ring0

My first, and likely only tattoo. Still trying to figure out what it will be.0

After I lose 20 pounds (10 more to go) I am going to make my first appointment to try on wedding dresses!!!0

I didn't really think of a reward per-se but maybe something like a FitBit or a HRM if you've been wanting to get one?0

Like many others, a new tattoo and definitely a new wardrobe! I can't wait to get there!0

New workout gear!
New clothes!
New pair of shoes!
Manicure!
Make my husband take his hott wife out on a date! (My personal fave. Hehe)0 -
I'm not a tattoo person but I will likely get my belly button RE-pierced. I got my nose re-done just recently.
My boyfriend volunteered to buy me a new wardrobe when I get to my goal weight, he didn't really expected me to be able to do it - he obviously doesn't know me as well as he thought :P He has since said he will still stick to the plan so go me!0 -
Buy all the clothes! And a bikini, even if my stomach isnt toned yet.0

My ultimate reward would be visit with a personal shopper and some new key pieces of clothing.
So far my rewards have been to do things I normally would never have done!
I volunteered at my local Food Bank, I did a community service walk, I hope to volunteer to clean one of our beaches and so on. These serve two purposes they are giving something back and different ways of keeping me active.
But, you can't go wrong with new shoes!0 -
First off, Congratulations! What an accomplishment. I reward myself every 10% of original bodyweight lost. Pedicure, manicure, etc. I also reward for small things that I'm struggling with...getting all my water in for the gets me a small non food reward. My big rewards are 1/2 way there...new golf clubs.0
