Taking it Seriously

Hello All,
I joined this site a long time ago but never got further than a few pounds before I veered from the course. Now the doctor has put the fear of all sorts of calamities in me, some of which have already begun, unless I get my act together, so here I am! My first goal is to get involved, stay motivated and never give up! Looking forward to getting to know people and share this journey. Thanks!

Welcome to the boards Amarea!! I have joined so many sites and groups but never used the boards and got to know people but I decided this time that I was going to and it has already helped me. I have met more people and got lots of helpful ideas and information from being more involved. Congrats to you on taking that first step and getting started. . so many people don't even take it seriously even when they hear it from a doctor so I am proud of you for that!! :flowerforyou: Much success to you on this journey. . .I know you can reach all of your goals!! I'm definitely not an expert by any means, but if there's anything I can help you with just let me know!0

Welcome and well done for deciding to commit. Once piece of advice is to be sure to log everything and I mean everything that passes your lips. It's a great way to see the true picture of what you're eating and it also acts as a deterrent from making silly food choices.
All the best with your weight loss journey. Look forward to seeing you on the boards0 -
Hi, and welcome. I am in the same boat... I signed up before but didn't stick with it. I can't say what is "different" this time other than I have reached a point of disgust with myself. I also got a part-time job working at my gym to keep me motivated and lets face it -- it is really hard to come up with an excuse not to work out when you work at a gym!!!0

I just had a baby girl 6 months ago and decided that I want to be in the best shape of my life now for me and for her... so here I am, hoping to stick w this and reach my goals. I just started 3 days ago but am still proud of myself for not falling behind. Being able to track my progress and see it right in front of me makes this whole experience so much easier to handle. Good luck to everyone out there! :happy:0

Welcome. We're all here for the same reasons. I just wish it was even 1/2 as easy to take off as it is to put on, but of course it's not. I'm needing some new friends myself, to help me stay motivated. I KNOW we can all do this if we just focus. Feel free to add me if you like.0
