Hurt my knee, now what?

I fell about 10 days ago. Hurt my knee pretty badly, got a nice goose egg on it. Figured it would get better. It still hasn't. I'm going to the doctor for a check up tomorrow anyway so will get it looked at, but saying I'm bummed is an understatement (I had just ordered ChaLean Extreme when it happened and was planning on starting next week).

I can still walk, so I've still been moving, but I can't do much that requires me to bend my leg, like squats.

Any suggestions? I've been playing with dumbbells a little bit and done some upper body exercises, I'm probably going to look more at ChaLean extreme and just skip the stuff that hurts my knee, but it's still a bummer. Has anyone done CLX who can tell me how much I'll be able to do that way?

I blew my knee out in a terrible yet beautiful dancing accident at a wedding like 2 months ago. (the worm). Its just starting to feel better now. I used a lot of KT Tape and and lowered the weight and upped the reps of my upper body lifting to try to get some cardio in.

The KT tape really seemed to help after the initial "not able to walk at all" phase.

I gotta stop drinking and doing the worm... but i wont haha

I'm recovering from an overuse injury currently...the last few weeks I haven't been able to do much in the cardio department. I've been hitting my upper body pretty hard in the weight room as I currently can't squat or deadlift with my injury. This week I'm re-introducing walking every day for about 30 minutes. I'm hoping by next week I can get back on my bike as well and maybe start doing some lighter weight squats and deads but I'm not going to push it. Running is out for the foreseeable future.

Running has been my primary cardio for the past year or so...I've re-introduced myself to cycling over these past few months and am really enjoying it so I think that's going to end up being my go to for the future...the running is just hell on my ankles (previous injury). I'm also seeing a lot more swimming in my future and I'll probably have to take it easy on my weight progressions with squats and dead lifts going forward.
