mmmmmmm pie. Very few pies you could keep me out of, but my fav has got to be strawberry rhubarb, with the closely following blueberry. But if there is pie anywhere near me, i'm eatin some.0

I'm pretty 'meh' about pie. Except for chocolate chip pecan pie. I could eat a whole one by myself, so it's a good thing I only make it once a year.0

Let's take this to a whole new level: pumpkin pie cheesecake.0
-
Pretty much any pie except for something with coconut or shoo fly pie (which I am not even sure if people actually know what that is)0
-
ANY PIE! I have my mom's recipe for lemon meringue pie. Mmmm.0

I do indeed love pie.
I love making and eating pies with the seasons, or just going out on a quest to find a great pie. I always save room for pie and make sure it fits into my diet.
Late Spring - Rhubarb... i made a delicious Strawberry & Rhubarb Ginger Pie topped with whiskey whipped cream.
Summer - berry pies, marionberry is my favorite, wild huckleberries next, cherry... mixed... oh my i could go on an on.
Autumn/Winter - apple and pumpkin mostly. But this weekend i just had a slice of most delicious 'Rosemary Bourbon Sweet Potato Pie'.
For those of you in the NW.... here is a link to the best pie places in Portland Oregon http://www.makemesomepie.com/ultimate-portland-pie-guide/

Shoo Fly pie is the love of my flipping life. Sugar, sugar, sugar, more sugar, and a little crust for good measure.0 -

Pumpkin and sweet potato are near and dear to my heart. Custard is third.0

Pecan or cheesecake. Both are equally awesome.
Any of those that is rich yet not loaded with sugar is awesome. Subtlety in sweetness goes further than just giving everyone a sugar high
Sadly, you aren't close enough to try the combo which is known as Alligator Pie. Pecan up top and cheesecake at the bottom with pie crust.

For me, the pie crust is merely a vehicle for the filling. I like it, though. Just not pumpkin or mincemeat. Those guys can rot in hell.0
