Hi folks,
I've gained 29 pounds in the past year and a half, when I really was aiming to lose 10 pounds. Hmmmm...somewhere I had it wrong. So now I want to lose 34 pounds and, of course keep it off. I can't believe I'm actually middle aged now, and losing weight means something different to me now than it did in my 20s. Now it means my health. It's much more important than my looks, but somehow the motivation is harder to come by.

I hope to find and give support through this community. I wish you all the best, and hope this time I'll be successful!

    Welcome and good luck!!
  • Good luck to you . You can do it I have no doubt but for me exercise is the key ( and not simply so you can eat more) and eating extremely healthily 80%+ of the time vital.

I have just joined My Fitness Pal as I am 56 and realise more than ever that on line support and friendship while trying to take on board this kind of life change is invaluable. In the famous words of Nike 'just do it' xx
  • thanks to both you and jessud
