Ok, I made a delicious Apple pie last night, but since I went over my calories for the night (we had a small party), I decided I would have some in the morning. Before hitting the hay, I announced to the entire house that There had better be pie when I got up in the morning.

Morning arrives, and NO PIE!!!!!! I asked mom, and she said she did not touch it, so I asked my sister Mary, yet again, a negative on the pie eatting. That left only one person.....my dad! So, when intertogated, he finally confessed to scarfing the whole pie at THREE in the morning.

He claimed that stupor from sleep forced him to eat the pie.

I just called him a pie stealing fiend, and vowed to never bake a pie near him again. Problem solved! (Exept for the lack of pie....I will just keep telling myself that I am better off this way...)

Sorry, but that just made me laugh soooo hard. I can almost picture your dad, head and shoulders hanging down, looking to the ground ashamed, confessing he was the pie thief.
At least you know your pie was damned delicious. Not really a comvort, but well ... Bake a new one ... when your dad's not at home. LOL
  • and I bet Dad isn't over weight either! I could never eat at 3 am nor could I eat a whole pie and get away with it! I guess he did do you a favor. let him know we have Entemann's here staring me in the face he can come finish (before I do)

Oh man, so sorry! But like everybody else, I'm thinking you are better off. But yea, it musta been such a let down!
First you were SO good, stopping yourself from eating it yesterday because you were trying not to go over your calories.......
THEN you finally you get to enjoy the pie you made for breakfast and OH NO! gone.

    I'm sorry. : (
But you must be a pretty darn good cook to have your dad eat it all and not even being able to save you any!

I think sometimes because dads pay for food they feel they OWN ever dang piece in the house! We put skull and crossbones on our leftovers and he STILL eats them.

    Dad's hrumph,...

(I do note that my salad fixins never disappear tho:grumble: )

My brothers used to do this when I brought home leftovers from restaurants. I would write "This is not yours. Please do not eat it" on the containers and everything and it'd still be gone by the next day! Very frustrating!! But I think I agree with others, you probably are much better off without it! High five to your dad for taking away the temptation!
