Ok I am new at this and I don't how to calculate my BMR activity level. I sit around most of the day, but I do a very hard work out for 45 minutes. My goal is to lose 3 pounds a week. I work out every single day, and only drink water. My calorie thing used to be 1200, but I could never stick to that, so since Monday I have been doing 1500 a day. What I want to know if if I'm calcualting everything right. I'm multiplying by 1.55 with my bmr, but IDk if I should be doing 1.375 or 1.2? I really don't want to just eat 1000 - 1200 a day, that's mentally painful please help!!! -.-

I'd start with an online calculator such as http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
Then I'd adjust from there. If you find yourself gaining, slowly decrease. If you find you're maintaining, slowly decrease by 100-200 a week.
# pounds a week is pretty aggressive, especially if you don't have much to lose. Your profile has no info on it, so it's hard to judge anything realistically. Slower works better as far as losing is concerned since you're not really looking for a quick fix but means of learning life habits and healthy eating habits.
What do you eat? What kind of workouts?
Also, do some reading, educate yourself about weight loss and healthy habits.

There are many resources... google is your friend. Also, find some supportive friends on here... people with knowledge, and not just people who will tell you what you may want to hear. Sometimes the people who disagree with you have wisdom or experience to impart.

I eat what I like until I reach my daily goal. I go food shopping on Friday, and I plan on eating baked chicken and greens. I also stopped drinking everything but water, for almost a week now. I cut down on the chocolate that I like, cause it was like 300 per brownie o.o I have been told I'm a picky eater, so I hate almost everything that is healthy.0

What are your stats? Height, weight, age?
http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/
This is the site I use, but it's pretty comparable to other sites.
It's important to note that this number (BMR) is the amount of calories you need to survive daily, minus active movement. It includes calorie burn for essential functions such as breathing, heart beat and disgesting food.
If you have a desk job, I would multiply this number by 1.2 (sedentary).
If you eat too little with heay exercise (or just eat too little at all), you risk burning off muscle rather than fat. I would also suggest you have a body comp test done to see how much lean tissue you have.0 -
I'm mostly just sitting around and doing school work, but I do 45 minutes of exercise that gets me sweating and out of breath. I do this everyday. I did my bmr and It gave me a choice of moderate exercise, not activity all day. Or is that the samething? That's what I'm confused about0

Go plug your stats in the link I sent you, please!
This number doesn't take any activity into account, ONLY your baseline!
You would multiply this number by 1.2 for your sedentary job.
Then you would potentially eat back your exercise calories on top of that number. :-)0 -
